Residence Halls for Upperclass & Transfers

Hello returning students and welcome new students! Are you ready for another year? Housing and Residence Life are here to make your school year fun! We will help you within any of your residence troubles throughout your year. View information about our Residence Hall Offices.

    • Residences - Alumni Square
      Alumni Square
      Alumni Square is located just outside the University’s main gates. Its grassy courtyard offers a great place to study during the spring.
    • Residences - Copley Hall
      Copley Hall
      This historic neo-gothic residence hall is one of the oldest buildings on campus. Copley Hall is a gray stone structure with arched doorways centrally located across from the main gates and directly in front of Copley Lawn.

      Kennedy Hall prides itself on being part of the newest residence complex at Georgetown.

      Reynolds Hall prides itself on being part of the newest residence complex at Georgetown.
    • Residences - Townhouses
      Townhouses
      Some townhouses are designated as historic by the Georgetown Historical Society. Townhouse residents remain conveniently close to campus and receive University maintenance services.

      Henle Village
      Henle Village is an apartment complex known for its open outdoor spaces. It is an easy walk to the bookstore, several places to eat, and red square.
    • Residences - LXR
      LXR and Nevils
      LXR and Nevils share an outdoor courtyard which contains park benches, shady areas and space to park bicycles. They offer a great location close to both classrooms and M street.

    • Residences - Village A
      Village A
      The Village A Community Room and grills is a popular spot for programs and some weekend grilling events. Large patios are great for hosting gatherings and are often a place where Hoyas come to socialize on the weekends.

      Faculty-in-Residence
      Interaction between students and faculty outside of the classroom is essential for a vibrant intellectual life. Faculty and their families live in a designated apartment within residence halls and are able to interact with students throughout the school year!

      Georgetown's Chaplains-In-Residence and Jesuits-In-Residence draw from different faith traditions to contribute to cura personalis, or the concern for and care of each student as a unique individual.

    Residence Hall Offices (RHO)

    Services

    Residence Hall Offices are available for any assistance you may need during your time living on campus.

    RHOs offer many valuable services to residents:

    • Perform lockouts (charge: $5.00 during RHO hours, $5.00 - $10.00 after the RHO is closed, depending on the time)
    • Offer lost and damaged key assistance
    • Receive packages from UPS, Federal Express, U.S. Postal Service, florists, DHL, etc. (Please note that packages must be picked up and signed for only by the resident to whom they are addressed.)
    • Loan blue carts, dollies, vacuums, mops, brooms, and dustpans for a $5 deposit (refundable if returned within an hour).
    • Verify mailbox combinations at the beginning of the Fall semester
    • Issue guest passes for overnight guests
    • Offer general information about the campus.

    M-F: 10:00am - 7:00pm
    Sat, Sun: 12:00pm - 7:00pm

    Note: All RHOs have the same hours. Unless noted in our special closing and holiday hours, the RHO should open for regularly scheduled hours, even if the University is closed for inclement weather or otherwise.
