The Spanish Floor will serve as a fun community to enrich students' experience at Georgetown. It will bring together Georgetown students and faculty with an interest in developing Spanish language fluency and a desire to use the language as a vehicle to explore different cultures, consider relevant global issues from different perspectives, serve the community, seek exciting professional opportunities, and have fun. Students will primarily speak Spanish within the community. The floor will also host study sessions, movie nights, engage in community service, host faculty dinners and discussions and much more.
The floor will be located on the ground floor of Copley Hall and will be advised by Professor Mercedes Ontoria. Members of the floor will gain credit for their experience by taking the one-credit course, "The Hispanic World: The US and Beyond."
Since this will be the floor's first year, members will be able to play a large role in creating their community.
Please note: The application for the Spanish Floor is separate from the other LLC applications. Please apply here by February 9th!
